About Me

I live and work in San Francisco, but I’ll always feel and sound more than a bit British.  I worked as an Organizational Psychologist for several years in London before moving to the U.S. where I came back to my love of art and began my art education and painting practice.  And if I’m not in San Francisco, I’ll be traveling, camping or otherwise exploring and seeking inspiration, most likely in a Spanish speaking country.

My Work

Painting is how I make sense of what I notice around me; the random bits and pieces as well as the beauty.  Everything I observe and experience arrives as raw material.  When I’m painting there is a felt sense of what’s right for me and my process is neither linear nor predictable as I seek out what resonates. I try to get comfortable with the exploration and false steps as I navigate a clearer path through the generous mess.  Happenstance has led to some very big things in my life and my intuitive approach to painting reflects something of that.
